What made River’s exit/goodbye even more depressing is that she was the last living thing that was linked to Amy and Rory. River Song is The Doctor’s last real connection to the Ponds. And now they’re all gone.

whenever I travel I always feel so fucking strange about everything. I can’t even articulate the feeling.

in other news, I attempted reading a Nicholas Sparks novel for the first time ever because I finished the one book I brought with me (Julia Child’s My Life in France, which is perfectly delightful and foodie)

but the other was kind of awful.

Embarking on a solo trip to a continent I’ve never been to before, and yeah, it’s Vietnam and I’m Vietnamese, but it’s still a big fucking deal because I’m basically a white person going to Asia alone—and no, not even meeting relatives, just complete strangers who share my ethnicity— for the first time. And that’s scary and exciting and fascinating and yeah. I’m going to have a terrible night’s sleep from all the anxiety.
